For this Full Moon, I highly recommend listening to Mary Stewart Adam’s Story of Selene (appx 1-2 minutes.) Adams does an excellent job of using story and myth to weave imagery into the study of the sky. Virgo is on the ascendant at the time of the full moon. It seems the Sun, Mercury, and Ceres are partners at the top of the chart, while the Moon and Pluto are partner at the nadir. Venus and Saturn flank each cluster, evenly spaced at 29 degrees, creating a beautiful trine to the ascendant. Then within 60 degrees we have the rest of the planetary wanderers. By sidereal zodiac, both Jupiter and Neptune are in Pisces now, with Neptune at 0 degrees.
This week’s upcoming full moon occurs on June 14 at 6:51 am CDT in the sign of Sagittarius at 23 degrees. Sunrise will occur at 6:22 am CDT. Summer Solstice will follow on the 21st of June, exactly one week after.

Mars and Chiron are exactly conjunct at 15 Aries with Jupiter in Aries at 5 degrees. suggesting healing, or other forms of positive benefit. There is also a separating quintile between the ascendant of this time and Chiron, suggesting this an in ideal time period for healing around issues with identity, assertiveness, or creativity. In the early hours of Friday morning we have the eclipse on November 19, 2021 at 27 Taurus. The Moon is exalted in Taurus and Mars and Saturn are in rulership, with Mars opposing Uranus at 12 Taurus. Jupiter is square to Moon, Sun, and Mercury. Venus is trine Uranus at zero degrees. It’s a curious and complex arrangement. This eclipse is on the closing degrees of Taurus. Even though the moon is exalted in Taurus, Venus is out of bounds and it is the ruler. We should definitely expect the unexpected.
People with sensitive points in their natal charts at late degrees of of the Taurus-Scorpio axis, and early degrees of Gemini-Sagittarius will be influenced as will those at 12-13 degrees of Taurus-Scorpio where the Mars-Uranus are currently positioned.
Tower mentioned the January 2020 Pluto-Saturn conjunction. A lot of people might confuse that conjunction with the Saturn-Jupiter conjunction in December of 2020, since the latter was so visible to the naked eye and got more media hype. Don’t be confused. Remember, by January 2020 we were entering world wide pandemic. By December 2020, we began to change from Trump whitehouse to Biden whitehouse following the election and January 2021, we had the storming of the Capitol.
In regard to Pluto, Rick Tarnas mentioned in a lecture I attended that the changes 2020 would bring would force America to come to terms with its own “dark night of the soul.” We are fully two years into it and I truly think this now an understatement. I postulate that by the end of 2023 we may have much more perspective and clarity on what we have been birthing and burying.
We ended the holy nights last year with the storming of the Capitol and now we see the ring leader Jacob Chansley just received a sentence of 41 months in prison for his involvement right before the onset of the eclipse.
Some people have asked me, “So when will all of this be over?” (“This” being Covid, and all of the consequences that it has brought with it.) This question reveals an expectation or assumption that what we are currently experiencing is all just a passing phase. I’ve told at least a few people that I thought things will start to look better in 2023, but in truth, I don’t believe we are ever going back. Some, like Astrologer, Kaypacha, have equated this time to a birth canal. As we all know, there is no going back to the womb once that journey has begun.
Last Christmas during my study of the holy nights, I viewed Venus as being a significant mover and influencer for this whole year of 2021. Some astrologers who have noticed a correlation between the dates of many of the George Floyd events and the significant turning points of the Venus cycle. These correlations may have some merit. Could this be the dark night of the soul? It’s that and more.
Limited resources this year have also been a major issue, as I mentioned in my School Year Forecast back in August, with supply chain delays causing major economic difficulties in many businesses and in people’s daily lives. Prices have gone up dramatically and we are only in the mid degrees of Uranus in Taurus (Revolution in Resources). Will see more revolutionary tendencies as it relates to our resources? I think so.

This is a seminal eclipse, the first in a series of eclipses in the sign pair of Taurus/Scorpio that will last through late 2023. While the nodes of the moon are still in the signs of Gemini/Sagittarius (as they have been since May 2020), we are now in a cusp phase where the symbolism of both Gemini/Sagittarius AND Taurus/Scorpio are playing out on center stage. The final Gemini/Sagittarius eclipse is on December 4- a total solar eclipse in Sagittarius. The nodes officially move into Taurus/Scorpio on January 18, 2022.

The Moon is waxing towards full, and by the end of the week on August 22 it will reach full moon at 29 Aquarius. Mercury is today at 4 Virgo applying to a conjunction with Mars. They will meet exact on August 19th at 13 Virgo. It is as if Mars and Mercury give the Virgo assignment to our Leo King Sun, announcing something.
Leo, in its immature form, is focused solely on the self. But by late Leo it must come to terms with the hollowness of that selfish focus, which never creates a legacy for others. Why does someone amass wealth and fame to begin with, if it is simply to benefit himself? Can he enjoy this wealth alone? It is like the story of King Midas. The service element of Virgo comes more strongly into play with a more social impulse through removal of the excess that must be brought into service to health of the whole social organism. Then once balance is achieved, the nobler side can later be transformed through union in Scorpio and so on, going through the externalization process of the winter signs to create and sustain future life for a higher purpose.
Looking more closely at the combining of Mars/Mercury at 13 Virgo as messengers and assignment givers, we could look at the Tarot for that decan and the Sabian symbol for interpretation.

This full moon, which is the second full moon in Aquarius this month is at 29 Leo/29 Aquarius, has the symbol of AN UNSEALED LETTER WITH VITAL AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION. Information needs to be communicated with integrity and from the heart so that the right people can see and hear it and benefit from it.
The 29 Leo Sun is opposed to the Moon at 29 Aquarius represented by the symbol of MOONLIT FIELDS, ONCE BABYLON, ARE BLOOMING WHITE.

The opposition at 29 Leo/29 Aquarius shows the polarity between alienation to one’s roots and place or alienation to the self, as opposed to a deep sense of belonging to a time and place. Holding back what one needs to communicate and the selfishness which must be overcome through trust and devotion allow the greater good to flow by following a true path. The deep connections we feel to a sense of time and place and a belonging to the greater story of family, ancestry, and the unfolding of humanity – the bigger karmic picture.
We can in our time literally meet our ancestry and connect to one’s ancestry in more tangible ways than ever. We can discoverer confirm our paternity if it is not known. We have the ability now to trace one’s DNA, even to solve crimes based on knowing a person’s DNA. This was not possible a generation ago. I feel this is a special turning point regarding the idea of bloodlines, ancestry, and the connection to history. Humanity is still full of so many mysteries. If we really reflect on these things, we can come to a sense of wonder at all the things we still don’t know and understand.
